Difference between ' my' and 'mine' :
1. 'my' is considered the possessive case and used in the beginning or middle of a sentence.
e.g. My book is very heavy.
or
This is my book.
2. 'mine' is also considered to be possessive case but it is used at the end of a sentence.
e.g. This book is mine.
note: After 'my' an object is required, but after 'mine' there is no need of any object.
